Or maybe it was Janta Ki Adalat. Anyways it was the one with Rajat Sharma as the host. Or janata’s lawyer. Aamir Khan has all the qualities that I would usually admire. For on, he makes good movies. The questions thrown at Aamir were that he is arrogant, crazy, control freak , doesn’t like other movies of bollywood and Aamir Khan handled them with aplomb. He was poked on his tiff with Shahrukh Khan and if he has ghost directed many movies. He was mostly tactful and sometimes blunt.
Aamir Khan has all the qualities that I would usually admire. For one he makes good movies. He has the spirit of independence.He is not affected by what others are thinking or doing.He is practical enough to shamelessly seek publicity for his movies before the release. He is his own man living by his own rules.The “judge” on Janta Ki Adalat was also gushing about the same things ( he almost sounded like some high school girl who has a crush on Aamir , just a lot more articulate in Hindi). But there is something about Aamir Khan that turns me off big time.
He has some superior airs about him which are mostly justified but still incorrect. If he is truly an independent minded artist he would not look down upon ShahRukh and the rest but just watch them with amused detachment. He would be blunt to others about how Shah rukh is a pathetic actor and in his own mind he would not bother to think of him and his “work”. He is somehow doing the opposite. He is diplomatically saying that he respects Shahrukh Khan a lot while it is plainly obvious that he does not.
Maybe one reason that Aamir Khan’s reasonably tolerable arrogance turns me off is that yours truly himself is highly susceptible to this disease.
